Thanksgiving Day

28 November 2009

Sr. Maureen, Sr. Joseph Maria and Sr. Maria show off some of the squash and gourds given to us by St. Rose's parish.

Sr. Janlyn enjoys her first AMERICAN Thanksgiving and eating dinner on "real" plates!

Thanks to the generosity of the Grand Summit Hotel we are spoiled with turkey and all the fixin's. Sr. Mary Martin, Sr. Judith Miryam, Sr. Maria Agnes and Sr. Carri.

Enjoying yourself, Sr. Mary Amata?

This is no turkey in the straw! Somewhere under that frosting is cake!

I love the look of the cake. Someone had alot of time and talent to make that. Sr. Janlyn does look like she is enjoying her first American Thanksgiving.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My aunt's Dominican convent on Long Island also gets a lot of donated food - my dad used to say in awe, "Hey, you eat better than we do!" :)

Where is Sr. Maria Teresa??? Haven't seen her lately...Is she still with your Community?

She was probably washing the dishes! Novitiate sisters aren't always together, especially when there are 5 of them!
