Thank you for this video. It all looks so joyful. Does the sister go on retreat before or after this profession? When a sister is on retreat, does she take her meals alone and only join others for the LOTH?
Yes, a sister takes a full 8 day retreat before each stage of formation. She is free to attend meals and Office or she can eat her meals alone and attend only Lauds and Vespers (and Mass, of course) and pray the other hours privately. There are no structured conferences with the novice mistress or a "plan" for her retreat. Retreat is not a "project" but an encounter with God in the desert.
It sounds wonderful. Truly.
