August-Enjoying the Fruits of Harvest!

27 August 2010

The Sisters' smiling faces are a testimony that 2010 was a very good year for the garden! We are enjoying the fruits of the Sisters' hard work at every meal! Melons, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, beets, beans and corn grace our table daily.

Sr. Judith Miryam's herb garden on the cloister and out in the garden is filled with fragrant basil, thyme parsley, and other herbs. She and the sisters have dried a lot of it to be used during the winter months.

Sr. Mary Magdalene and Sr. Joseph Maria are (obviously) happy to show off that weeding IS worth it!

Wow! Those are healthy-looking vegetables. :) Enjoy, Sisters!

Your veggies look fabulous -- it must all the prayers. Next year, could you say a few prayers for my garden?

God bless you, Sisters.

Love in Christ,

Candice
